This project is dedicated to the statistical study of the Voynich Manuscript, a medieval codex written in an undeciphered script. While its content and meaning remain mysterious, the manuscript provides a unique opportunity for quantitative research.
The website presents an interactive heatmap that visualizes recurring patterns within the manuscript. By clicking on specific cells (initial-final syllable combinations), users can access 485 statistical tables. These tables highlight the frequency of middle word parts and offer insight into the structural properties of the text.
The aim of this research is to develop new hypotheses about the structure and potential meaning of the Voynich Manuscript by analyzing statistical distributions. The approach is heuristic and not a linguistic interpretation, but it provides valuable clues for future exploration.
